The NSS has been active in our institution right from the inception of this scheme. It strives to evoke social consciousness in the students and also equips them with an opportunity to work with the people around the educational institutions innovatively and productively. Through this scheme, our college’s vision is to put the education of our students to concrete social purpose. The chief concern of our institution is to identify the youth as ‘a social construct' so as to redefine and relocate their position in society.
Aims of NSS
The programme aims to instil the idea of social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without any bias. It also develops among students a sense of social and civic responsibility.
Motto
The motto or watchword of the National Service Scheme is 'NOT ME BUT YOU'. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person's point of view, and also to show consideration for fellow human beings. It underlines the fact that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as the whole. Therefore, it is the aim of our students to demonstrate this motto in their day-to-day activities.
